Having more fun prepping for Draw Steel

After my gaming group moved over from 5e to Draw Steel, I've been having more fun prepping and running encounters. I think a big part of that is how many of the monster stat blocks in Draw Steel have a clear strategy or way to play them baked in.

When prepping an encounter with a group of cultist I can really quickly see how they work together. Stick a group of Death Acolyte minions with a Death Cultist and you have the loop: minioins swarm players, players murk minions, Death Cultist makes minions rise from the dead, repeat. That feels like you're fighting real necromancers, even at level 1.

I've prepped a few sessions of 5e after my first experiences with Draw Steel and its just not the same. The stat blocks don't inspire me the same way. Might be fatigue, but I think the designers of Draw Steel have a lot more of an experience or perheaps specific encounter in mind when they create the monsters.
